Product description
Carex praire fire creates a fiery display of color when planted as a ground cover. Its upright, slender, green-bronze foliage has orange highlights at the edges. In the sun, this deep orange color intensifies, creating a striking display that pairs well with brightly colored perennials and yellow-green shrubs. The color persists for most of the winter in warmer climates. It is native to New Zealand and thrives best in moist, well-drained soil, but will adapt to drier conditions once established. Its size and upright nature make it an excellent focal point in mixed plantings.
