Comes from "cocomero" (watermelon), and refers to the pink color of its flesh,
particularly intense in the center of late injured fruits,
they weigh between 20 and 60 grams each.
Their characteristic aromatic nature and fragility make them difficult
to be released fresh.
Instead, Cocomerina pears are excellent for making jams
and liquids. Like many heirloom varieties,
Cocomerina pears are produced mainly for family consumption,
so only a few trees remain in the entire world
