Nitrogen: 9-12 Kg
Phosphorus: 8-12 Kg
Potassium: 20-24 Kg
Magnesium: 5-7 Kg
To avoid weeds, it is recommended not to use manure or to use it in small quantities during soil preparation.
To avoid the production of large tubers, Kennebec requires close planting distances (75 cm x 25 cm), at a height of 30 - 35 cm and a furrow width of 50-60 cm. Due to the rapid growth of the foliage, Kennebec requires little handling in terms of weed prevention. The use of fungicides as a preventative measure is recommended. Kennebec has moderate dormancy and its post-harvest storage is excellent in both conventional and organic cultivation.
Kennebec is a branded variety suitable for cooking which gives high production in different climatic conditions. It can be used for conventional and organic potato production.
In each bag of potato seed, there is a sewn-in label “Phytosanitary Passport” issued by the official certification organization of the country of production. It certifies that the seed has been tested in the country of production and meets the EU regulations for phytosanitary, quality and genetic class.
Class A is suitable for the production of table potatoes and not for the reproduction of potato seed.
Class E is suitable for seed production under the conditions of the law.
The seed accompanied by a passport is freely traded in all EU countries. In the event that the buyer finds that the seed potato seed contained in a bag does not meet the phytosanitary and quality requirements of the EU, he must notify the supplier in writing within 15 days of receipt of the bags, before emptying them and before cutting the tubers and before planting, setting out his findings, so that the supplier has the opportunity to investigate.
The supplier's liability cannot exceed the purchase value of the seed and, in any case, in such a case, it must have been established by a competent state authority before planting the seed whether or not the seed in question meets the Community specifications.
After cutting the seed tubers or planting it or after 15 days have passed since receipt, the supplier neither accepts nor assumes any liability or obligation.
Planting whole or sliced tubers in the field implies automatic acceptance by the producer of the plant health and quality of the seed potato in accordance with Community specifications and the plant health passport.
