The Prodromos olive is an oil-producing variety and produces excellent quality oil. It is bidirectional and the yield of the fruit to oil is high and ranges between 3:1 to 5:1. It is a hardy olive tree resistant to diseases (Resistance to Verticillium wilt). It thrives at an altitude of up to 600 meters, the great advantage is its resistance to very low temperatures down to -15C and -17 and it also does not have many water requirements.
