Product description
Feijoa sellowiana 'Mammoth' produces medium to very large fruit with sweet, soft, juicy pulp. It is a plant with intense growth that forms a large bush (3m in ten years) and usually bears fruit from late autumn to early winter. It also produces beautiful red flowers from late spring to mid summer. Feijoa sellowiana 'Mammoth' is a wind tolerant plant, making it an excellent choice for hedges. While it is partially self-fertile, better crops are obtained when planted with any other feijoa variety. Feijoa sellowiana is evergreen and native to the highlands of southern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina and Colombia. 'Mammoth' was developed by Hayward Wright in New Zealand.
