Product description

The Alphonso mango is known as the king of all mangoes. The best feature of this variety is that it does not contain any fiber, which makes it great for eating on its own. The shape of the fruit is somewhat egg-shaped, as it can weigh between 200 and 400 grams.

It originates from India and ripens in May to June.

They are sensitive to cold and frost, as they are tropical fruit trees, so the best time to plant them is spring or summer. Plant them in a pot if grown in a cold climate and move them to a greenhouse or indoors in winter. The grafted Alphonso will take about a year to bear fruit.

The fruit starts out dark green and matures to a refreshing golden yellow outer skin when ripe. The flesh in turn turns saffron in color. Alphonso mangoes are extremely sweet with a creamy and pulpy texture.

Alphonso mangoes are evergreen trees with lush green leaves all year round. Make sure the location is protected from strong winds.
