Native to Florida, the Tommy Atkins mango is the most widely grown commercial variety grown in the United States.
Taste: Light astringency with sweet notes (strangely ideal taste)

Color: A deep red blush often covers much of the fruit with a green and orange-yellow tone
Shape: Medium to large with an oval or oblong shape.
They have an average length of 12.6 cm, a width of 9.9 cm and an average weight of 522 g. Smooth skin is hard and thick. The flesh is firm and moderately juicy with a moderate amount of fiber, yellow to deep yellow in color, mild and sweet with a strong pleasant aroma. Food quality is quite good. The seed is monoembryonic and covered by a thick, woody pith (6.6% of the total weight of the fruit). The tree is vigorous/tall with a rounded canopy and consistently produces heavy and good crops. It is an early to mid-season crop and is highly resistant to carbonization and powdery mildew.
