Polaris is an early fruiting variety developed in Minnesota. The plants are cold hardy, early maturing and an excellent companion to Northblue or Northsky. The berries are aromatic and very sweet. Fall foliage is red and blooms to white during spring. For better pollination and fruiting, plant Polaris with other cold-hardy varieties. Northern bush and mid-elevation blueberries require 800 to 1000 chill hours to fruit.
