Product description

This type of kumquat was created in Japan in 1933 by a famous hybridizer named Tanaka.

Botanical name: Fortunella obovata

Common name: Kumquat obovata

it is one of the easiest citrus fruits to grow in our climates due to its good resistance to cold.

Its peel has an intensely sweet taste and a subtle bitter orange aroma. The juicy and spicy pulp contains few seeds.

It is cultivated not only for its fragrant flowering, similar to that of other kumquats, which lasts from May to September, but mainly for its small pear-like fruit that remains on the plant for a long time, namely from December until Easter.

It reaches a height of 1.40 m in a pot and 2 m in the ground
