Boxwood is a hardy, spherical shrub, quite slow growing. It is suitable for all soils except very wet and needs very good drainage. It has dark green, glossy, small, ovate foliage and a small, inconspicuous bloom with a cream flower. Particularly resistant to cold. It accepts pruning with various formations (sphere, pyramid, etc.) and is used for low borders.
