Aukumba is an evergreen plant with a spherical shape. It has green, serrated, leathery, shiny leaves with yellow spots. Females have red, shiny fruits that persist all winter after flowering. The presence of a male and female plant helps fruiting. Prefers shady or semi-shady places, cool soils and can be planted singly or in clusters. It shows great resistance to pests and withstands very low temperatures.
