Eugenia nana is a more compact shrub than the typical myrtifolia, it is medium in size and fast growing. It has very beautiful, distinctive and glossy, dark green foliage. Its leaves are small and slightly pointed. In summer they turn reddish and show a creamy bloom. Accepts pruning for formations and hedges. Suitable for coastal areas. It is sensitive to very low temperatures
