Mint is a perennial aromatic plant with creeping growth that does not exceed 0.6m in height. Its stem has a square shape and brown color, while its leaves are lance-shaped with a dark green color. Its flowers appear in summer and have a lilac color.
It grows in most types of climate and soil, but prefers temperate regions with cool summers and not too severe winters. Ideally, the soil should be medium in texture, rich in organic matter and well drained.
Due to its rhizomes, its propagation is very easy under the surface of the soil, covering very quickly a large soil surface. Mint can be planted in pots, planters and flower beds, covering many square meters of the garden and giving the characteristic smell of mint to our garden or balcony.
