The verbena is a deciduous shrub and belongs to the aromatic plants and herbs. In full growth it can reach a maximum height of two meters, with a crown diameter that will not exceed one meter. If it is left to grow freely, it does not become a particularly dense plant, which is why it is preferable to prune its tops from time to time in order to enjoy a more coherent image. It has long, lance-shaped, bright green leaves that emit a pleasant lemon scent when rubbed. It blooms during the summer with tiny, strongly scented flowers, which can be white, greenish or purple in color. Luiza grows in sunny planting locations and in fertile, neutral to slightly acidic soils. It needs regular watering during the summer months, but it is significantly reduced to completely during the winter. It exhibits excellent resistance to winds and low temperatures.
