The Weeping Willow is the best known tree with a branchy appearance and elongated, descending stems that reach the ground. It is the familiar Itia to all of us. It is a fast-growing deciduous tree and has decorative value in all seasons. In winter it has impressive, golden-yellow, bare shoots that in spring are adorned with buds and numerous, small and narrow leaves that are colored grey-green with silver shades. It is a resistant species, can be pruned and prefers moist soils.
