Javier Santana Ramos together with Professor Joa Carlos Navarro, from the Institute of Plant Health of São Paulo, and his company made Pepita with mom the variety Beuregard, so the plant has very similar characteristics, and the name is a tribute to the mother of, Pepi Ramos.
