Muscat of Alexandria It is a triple use white variety as it is cultivated for the production of table grapes, wine and raisins. It thrives in all parts of the world. It is a vigorous and productive variety. It has good affinity with all used subjects. Its disadvantage is its sensitivity to downy mildew, powdery mildew and viruses. It is also sensitive to late frosts and anthorhia.
It is formed in a cup, in a linear Royat, but also in a Guyot, i.e. in an amolyte with long pruning. It ripens in the second ten days of September. It gives wines with the characteristic muscat aroma, high quality, dry with moderate acidity but also wonderful sweet wines.
