It is considered the most noble white Greek variety, with the center of cultivation in Santorini. It is a lively, productive variety. The buds at the base of the vine are not fertile. In the vineyards of Santorini, autoradizas are cultivated, forming a peculiar cup (bunch) with long or mixed fruiting pruning. In new cultivation centers it forms a bilateral Royat and receives short pruning (head with three buds). It is a versatile variety with excellent winemaking characteristics for the production of a wide range of wines.
