Product description

Mini kiwi panacea two-color kiwi. HOKEY POKEY® Autogenous! a climber with bicolor leaves and tasty fruit, combining the characteristics of an ornamental and a useful plant. It produces slender shoots that fold around the supports, growing slowly up to 4 meters in height. Bicolor leaves, 5-10 cm long and 2-4 cm wide, green with an irregular, lemon-yellow border. The leaves turn yellow in autumn. Small, white flowers, 1-2 cm in diameter, unfold in June. Parthenocarpic, self-fertile variety. The fruits are edible, green berries 2 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, with a taste similar to kiwi.

They can be eaten with the peel and have a lemon flavor. They ripen at the end of September and October and after ripening remain on the shoots. The climber begins to bear fruit in the 2nd or 3rd year after planting. It requires warm, sheltered, sunny, fertile, moist and well-drained soil. The plant withstands temperatures down to -22 ° C in winter (zone 6b), but is sensitive to spring frosts. It is suitable for planting next to arbors, pergolas, lattice fences, as well as for running on wires stretched between posts. The variety is particularly useful for cultivation in gardens and estates.
